Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to convene a meeting at federal level to chalk out joint strategy over the issue of drone strikes. In a letter written to the Prime Minister, Mian Nawaz Sharif, KP CM Pervez Khattak said people were concerned and infuriated over drone attacks, adding that unmanned aircraft's recent attack in Hangu further had enhanced these sentiments.
The letter further states that a meeting at federal level should be convened and representatives of all the provinces should be invited to chalk out a joint strategy over the issue. Khattak said till the meeting, the Nato supply should be halted. "We have to prove before the world that we are a united nation and can defend our sovereignty," he added. In the letter, the CM has informed about the current situation of the province after a US drone strike in Hangu. He said that the situation in the province was getting worse and worse with each passing day.
