Pakistan's telecom imports declined by 12 percent to $417.967 million during the July-October period of the current fiscal year, according to official statistics. The country's telecom imports stood at $473.958 million during July-October period of the last fiscal year, showing a fall of $55.991 million, says Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
The country's import of mobile phones slid to $217.585 million in July-October period of the current fiscal year from $283.442 million during the same period of the last fiscal year, showing a decline of 3 percent or $65.857 million, the PBS indicates. Imports of other apparatus went down by 20 percent or $50.134 million to $200.382 million during July-October period of the current fiscal year as compared to the gadgets' import of $250.516 million during the same period of the last fiscal year, the PBS suggests.
