Kayani inaugurates OPD, Emergency Blocks at CMH

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Wednesday inaugurated the newly constructed state-of-the-art Outdoor Patient Department, Accident, Emergency and Diagnostics Blocks at Combined Military Hospital. The COAS appreciated all those involved in construction of high quality hospital blocks in a very short span of time.
According to ISPR here, the construction of new blocks at Military and Combined Military Hospital Rawalpindi was envisaged in 2011 and its foundation stone was laid in April 2012.
Both these hospitals would cater for medical needs of military personal of army and civilian of twin cities. The 2,500 beds CMH and MH Rawalpindi would be one of the best hospitals in Asia after its completion in 2014.
With enhanced capacity and state-of-the-art equipment as many as 6,000 patients would be treated daily in OPD. The Diagnostic Centre would be able to carry out 200,000 diagnoses of various types per annum. Similarly, capacity to treat emergency patient has been substantially enhanced.
