The country imported $31.488 million of soybean oil during July-October period of the current fiscal year, according to official figures. The country's soybean oil import is lower by $8.009 million or 20.28 percent during July-October period of this fiscal year as compared to the oil import of $39.497 million during the same period of last fiscal year, says Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS). In terms of volume, soybean import slid by 8, 953 metric tons or percent to 29,701 metric tons during July-October period of the current fiscal year from 30,596 metric tons during the same period last fiscal year, the PBS depicts.
