03 May, 2018

Deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif revealed on Thursday that he has many secrets regarding the 2014 sit-ins demonstrated by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).

While speaking to the media outside an accountability court, Sharif said that there were many secrets he knew about the sit-ins and protests held by PTI and PAT in Islamabad in 2014.

Sharif also “National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is claiming that its sun is shining all over the country. But the people of Sindh seem to be the exception,” he added.

Speaking about the recently inaugurated New Islamabad International Airport, the three-time premier said that people coming from abroad are happy with the beautiful infrastructure of the new airport.

Sharif, along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz, appeared before an accountability court today regarding hearing of the corruption references filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB). They later left the accountability court while the hearing was under way.

As Judge Mohammad Bashir began proceedings on the Avenfield reference, Sharif's counsel Khawaja Haris began cross-examining NAB investigation officer Imran Dogar.

During the previous hearing, Dogar had revealed that Sharif had been the owner of Avenfield properties since 1993.
