Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphone is no new news anymore, however, a foldable display with three instead of two screens is what’s new that the tech giant might introduce, as a new leak suggests.

The Galaxy X smartphone by the South Korean tech giant is much anticipated for, with rumors claiming that it will be company’s foldable phone. A new leak by Korean site The Bell confirmed that Samsung’s future Galaxy X will incorporate three OLED panels that will unfold to create a large display similar to a tablet.

The smartphone will feature two 3.5-inch OLED panels on the front that will unfold to form a 7-inch tablet. The three 3.5-inch panel will be placed at the smartphone’s back so that the device can be used when it is folded as a phone.

Samsung’s president confirms rumors about its foldable phone

As per the ‘confirmed’ leak, the tech giant will finalize the Galaxy X design this year in June, which hints that changes can still be made to the device’s design. Samsung has, however, admitted that the Galaxy X will be released next year.

Moreover, as per Express.co, two iterations of the Galaxy X were also shown to industry insiders back at CES 2018, one folding inwards and other folding outwards. However, Samsung is not the only one to aim for foldable phones as Apple too, reportedly, has filed a patent for its own folding iPhone.

The news comes amid the rumors of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S10 expected to be launched later this year.
