City to face severe shortage of water in coming days as water level at Hub Dam touches dead level. Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KW&SB) is in process to chalk out water distribution mechanism after Wapda has announced to close water supply into city from Hub Dam. Karachi receives 100 million gallons of water everyday from different resources including Hub Dam and K-III.
In this regard, Managing Director KW&SB Qutbuddin Shaikh paid visit to Hub Dam and revealed that water level in Hub Dam has come down at about dead level from 350 feet to 285 feet. The MD KW&SB said that water utility is contemplating to suspend water supply for three-day in week.
