The political administration on Saturday enforced curfew from Miranshah to Datta Khel area of North Waziristan Agency (NWA) due to the deteriorating law and order situation in the region. The security forces increased patrolling while security was tightened on all entry and exit points.
Meanwhile, around 700,000 residents of NWA have reportedly migrated to safer places to avoid losses to lives and properties fearing that an operation would be launched against militant groups in the region. The administration is considering setting up camps along Indus Highway for locals while several families, fearing military operation, are reportedly migrating to Kohat, Kurram Agency, Bannu, Peshawar, Punjab, Sindh and even Afghanistan. On the other hand, the government has not officially announced to launch military operation in the conflict zone and people have been asked to remaining their respective areas.
