In an effort to make its high-end smartphones more affordable, Samsung is prepping up to launch a new version of its last year’s Galaxy S8.
The new version of the high-end Galaxy S8 will be reportedly called Samsung Galaxy S8 Lite with a design similar to that of Galaxy S8. The pictures by the Chinese site Weibo demonstrate the back of the device in two colors, Burgundy Red and Black.
Images of the phone’s back show the fingerprint sensor that is placed next to the camera similar to that of Galaxy S8. The Chinese regulatory entity TENAA even has a listing for the device that indicates towards some of the features the device will incorporate.
Samsung rolls out Android Oreo update for another older model
Android Headlines reported that rumors suggest Galaxy S8 Lite will feature 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, 3,000mAh battery life and Android Oreo. The rear camera will be a 16MP whereas the front will be 8MP. Iris scanner, dual SIM slots, water and dust resistant are also be some rumored features to be present in the phone.
With all these specs, the phone is expected to cost as a mid-range phone and expected to be announced on May 21 in China, reported Express.co.
