Pakistan’s World Cup winning hockey goalkeeper Mansoor Ahmed, who was put on life support, has passed away. He was 49.
The hockey legend had been suffering from heart ailment for the past three years and was under treatment at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease.
His health had deteriorated since the past few days, and he was put on life support earlier today after his lungs and heart had stopped functioning well.
His family members confirmed the death.
Last month Mansoor had said he wanted his surgery to be done in India as the facilities there were better than those offered in any other country.
