200 connections restored: Pesco's recovery campaign in full swing

Recovery from defaulters is in full swing throughout the province by Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) in recently launched 'disconnection and recovery campaign' against power theft. Recovery teams under the supervision of SDO Pesco, Gul Bela restored power supply to 162 defaulters of 11KV Takht Abad and 38 defaulters of 11KV Naguman-II feeders after recovery of the dues.
Similarly, seven new electricity connections were also provided to consumers under the "Incentive Package" while work is in progress for providing new connections.
Furthermore, a team of Pesco Chamkani Sub-Division nabbed five persons Rafiq Shah s/o Sher Meer of Gari Meher Gul Kachori, Ali Shah s/o Qadrat Shah Gari Nazir Gul Kachori, Pir Muhammad Gul Ghari Nasir Kachori,Sulman Shah s/o Khadi Gul Gari Nazir Gul Kachori and Jan Bahader s/o Laal Zada Gari Meher Gul Kachori for using direct hooks from LT line. FIRs were lodged against them in concerned police stations.
Due to illegal use of electricity in these areas, power supply system was over loaded and was causing frequent power breakdowns.
The management of the company has warned defaulters for the payment of outstanding dues with immediate effect and in case of non payment, strict legal action will also be initiated against them.
