A five-day snow festival will start with traditional as well as cultural fervour in the picturesque and serene valley of Swat at Malam Jabba from March 12 (Wednesday). The regularity in conduct of the festival, keen interest of tourists and enthusiasm of local populace not only hints the increasing activities of tourism but also proves to be an important milestone in conversion of the dream of permanent peace in to a reality at Malakand Division.
The festival does not only accommodates requirements of the tourists but also affords ample opportunities of entertainment for the local populace. Like previous years, snow sports events like Paragliding, Hang gliding, Tobogganing and Aero modelling have been arranged under the auspices of professionals.
Whereas special funfair activities have also been managed for women and children, said an ISPR press release issued here on Sunday. A grand music gala has also been arranged incorporating country's renowned singers and bands. The snow festival will continue till March 16 while the opening and closing ceremonies will be conducted on March 12 and 16 respectively.
Dignitaries from all walks of life are likely to participate along with tourists and local populace.
