Chinese manufacturer Lenovo has teased a new smartphone that is all screen and does not even have a notch.
Lenovo Vice President Chang Cheng has teased a new phone on China’s social network Weibo. The phone is nothing but screen framed by an ultra-thin bezel, with not even a notch.
The sketch of the soon to come Lenovo Z5 follows the earlier release of partial image with a claim that the smartphone will have an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 95%. Also, the phone will incorporate four technological breakthroughs including 18 patented technologies, as said by Cheng, reported CNET.
Lenovo might introduce laptop with flexible, foldable display
Where most smartphone manufacturers are trying to have the most screen size, they are often left with a tiny ‘notch’ no matter for sensor and camera integration. This new Lenovo Z5 claims to be truly ‘all-screen’ and people are not curious about how and where will the front camera and sensors be placed.
However, Cheng’s post is pretty vague and it’s not sure if the Lenovo Z5 is currently in production or just a concept for now. Lenovo did not immediately respond to request for comment.
