An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Quetta on Monday issued arrest warrants for Mumtaz Ahmad and Nazeer Ahmad, the guarantors of former military ruler General Pervez Musharraf, in the Akbar Bugti case. ATC Judge Tariq Anwar Kasi was hearing the Nawab Akbar Bugti case. Former federal interior minister, Aftab Sherpao and former provincial home minister Shoaib Nausherwani were present in the court on this occasion.
The court accepted the bail pleas of Sherpao and Nausherwani. The court ordered the relevant authorities for the issuance of warrants of arrest of the guarantors of the former president due to continued absence of the main accused on bail in the case.
