MQM activist case: SHC again seeks reply from Sindh government

The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday once again directed the provincial authorities to submit comments on a petition seeking payment of compensation to the legal heirs of MQM's deceased activist, allegedly tortured to death by the law enforcement agencies.
A division bench, headed by Justice Ghulam Sarwar Korai, was seized with the hearing of a petition filed by Afzal Baig, the brother of deceased, who sought registration of murder case against police and rangers officials. The court was also pleaded to order payment of compensation to legal heirs. The court adjourned the hearing to March 28, after the provincial law officer sought time to file reply.
