KP Board of Investment and Trade (KP-BoIT) has planned to revive Malam Jabba ski resort in next two years. The KP-BoIT has invited the Expression of Interest (EoI) from the private sector for the revival of Malam Jabba Resort, which was damaged in 2004 by the terrorists.
KP-BoIT Vice Chairman Mohsin Aziz said the work for the revival of the Pakistan's largest ski resort, featuring a five-star as well as a three-star hotels, cable car, specific areas for outdoor activities and zip liners etc will be started during this summer and to be completed within two years.
Mohsin Aziz stated that the project envisages restoration and revival of the resort both for beginners and professionals skiers. "The Ski Federation of Pakistan has also shown keen interest to help us in the revival of the ski facility in this area. A helicopter shuttle service for the guests is also a part of this project. The hotels' project can be operated throughout the year as tourists from all over the country visit Swat Valley in summer as well as in winter to enjoy the natural beauty of the area," he added.
