PC board likely to meet on April 2

Privatisation Commission Chairman Mohammad Zubair has convened a meeting of the PC board, likely to be held on April 2 (Wednesday), sources said. They maintained that restructuring plan of Pakistan Steel Mills would be discussed in the meeting apart from reviewing the on-going privatisation process of the state-owned entities, identified in previous PC board meetings.
With the approval of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, as many as six new members have also been inducted in the Privatisation Board and a notification to this effect has also been issued. Earlier, the PC Board had six members and six more members have been added to the board. Now, Ch Arif Saeed, Zafar Iqbal, Farooq Khan, Nasiruddin Ahmed, Zafar Iqbal Sobani, Arsallah Khan Hoti, Aziz Nishtar, Salman Burney, Khurram Shehzad, Zafar Khan, Nauman Dar and Ali Habib are the board members. The board will be headed by Chairman Mohammad Zubair and Secretary Privatisation Commission. The upcoming meeting will be attended by all 12 members.
