An attempt, by a gang of robbers to run away with the pulled out ATM machine of a private bank, was foiled near Nipa Chowrangi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Saturday morning. Sources said that the accused in the wee hours on Saturday successfully pulled out an ATM machine of a private bank and were about to run away with the machine, when the guard of the bank foiled their attempt by switching on the siren causing panic among the accused who throwing the machine on the road and fled away.
Police said that a gang of 4/5 unknown accused early in the morning tried to rob the ATM machine of a bank near Nipa. The accused entering into the ATM room painted the CCTV camera black to avoid being recognised, pulled out the ATM machine and were about to load it on their vehicle, when the guard of the bank foiled their attempt. Police investigating into the incident, however said, no accused could be arrested as yet.
