Dry, windy weather likely in most parts of country

The Meteoro-logical department has forecast mainly dry weather in most parts of the country with chances of strong winds. In its daily weather forecast for Monday the Met Office said that mainly dry to partly cloudy weather, with strong winds, would prevail over most parts of the country. Also, dust raising winds may overcome at isolated places in plain areas.
However, with regard to its countrywide outlook for the next 48 ours (Tuesday and Wednesday), it said that fairly widespread thunderstorm/rain with gusty winds, light snowfall over the hills, would occur over upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
It further says scattered thunderstorm/rain associated with strong winds, light snowfall over the, may occur in FATA, central Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, central & upper Punjab, including Islamabad.
Further, isolated thunderstorm/ rain with strong winds is likely to occur over lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northeast Balochistan and lower Punjab. There could also be chances of hailstorm at some places in plain areas. The maximum temperature 38.2 Celsius degree was recorded at Chhor while minimum temperature -2C was recorded in Kalam.The maximum temperature in Lahore remained 30C and minimum 15 C on Sunday.
