Electricity shortage biggest problem being faced by KP: Khattak

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has identified energy shortage as biggest problem faced by the province is electricity, saying that work on the emergency plan for energy projects has been started to retrieve the people of the whole province including Dir Upper from the curse of load shedding.
He was talking to different delegations including a 50-member delegation of the notables of Dir Upper, which called on him in the leadership of Provincial Minister for Local Governments, Inayatullah Khan, MNA Sahibzada Tariqullah and MPA Malik Behram also accompanied the delegation.
The chief minister said that commitment made during general elections for elimination of corruption and change in Thana and patwar culture is in the process of accomplishment. He said that ruling is easy but it running in actual means and bringing change in the attitudes is very difficult task. However, it is a matter of thanks giving that the people have not only acknowledge, but are also starting satisfaction on this change. He said that most of the complaints of the people were from police stations where the entry of common men was impossible due to the negative attitude of police personnel. But now it will not happen and the registration of the FIR of every citizen will be compulsory. Otherwise, they can also register it online from their houses. He said in future not only the higher officials of administration and police but the general public will also watch the activities going on in the premises of police stations, rooms of SHOs, Muharar and patwarkhana through internet. He said that only through visiting the offices, rather the services and facilities of all departments will be utilised online. He said that they besides legislations have also bounded them through punishments and now no one will dare to indulge in corruption and whoever involve in such practice will lose their job.
He said from the next month they are making English as medium of instructions in education and unifying at every level to from next years provide equal opportunity of development to all and remove difference in rich and poor.
The delegation acknowledged that the situation of police and patwarkhanas has registered maximum change and the performance of all departments including schools and hospitals had started improving.
The chief minister accepted the demand of the construction of 15-Kilomter Sharingal Road and directed Secretary Communications and Works (C&W) and Managing Director, Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority to early start of work on it. He also directed the authorities for contacting National Highway Authority (NHA) bringing improvement in Timergara to Dir Khaas Highway.
He assured that now patwari will be bound to serve the people of his village and circle and the rates of property registration and transfers should be displayed for the people to leave no space for corruption or collecting money. He said police stations will register FIRs online which has been started. He said that SHO, Muharar or any police officer will not be posted in his own district while after serving for two years no Muharar will be reposted in the same police station. He said that cameras will be installed in police stations and patwarkhanas to keep their performance under the surveillance of senior officials and all others.
He said that from Deputy Commissioner and District Police Officer (DPO) all district heads to monitor the performance of police stations, patwarkhanas, schools, colleges, hospitals and dispensaries and cleanliness. He also urged on the workers of the allied parties to remain vigilant in this regard and keep close eyes on drug and food inspectors, shops and markets and will issue certificate for drugs and food items to prevent substandard goods effectively.
Furthermore, he said that no load unload fee or tax will be collected outside bus stands or on roads and if anyone indulge in it for their personal interest should be arrested with immediate effect to bring into justice. He clarified that instead of relief they will not tolerate any injustice meet out to the people. He said that they had empowered the people and now they should also come out in forefront and support the government. He said that for the discouraging of commission mafia consultants have been hired and in future they will prepare and advertise all development schemes, which is an international procedure. He said now the fears of fine will help guarantee in timely and quality completion of schemes.
