Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) leader Liaquat Baloch on Thursday announced that Milli Yakjehti Council would hold an international 'Alam-i-Itihad-e-Ummah Conference' on April 15. Speaking at a news conference, he said that some forces were trying to create sectarian rifts particularly between Shia and Sunni sects. He said that the purpose of the conference was to create harmony among various Muslim sects.
Baloch said that Ulema, analysts, scholars, central and provincial office-bearers of Milli Yakjehti Council would participate in the conference. "We have also invited Ulema from various Muslim countries including, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Turkey to attend the conference," he added. Baloch appealed the government to facilitate the Ulema from foreign countries in visa process.
