The China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Qinghai has announced to observe 'Pakistan Theme Day' on May 17, during the upcoming Halal Food Exhibition being held in Xining, China from the May 15 to 18, touching the new heights of the Sino-Pak friendship.
Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) Chairman Akhtar Nazir Khan Cooki, who has been working to strengthen Pak-China trade ties, observed that he has succeeded to get preferential policy for Pakistani exhibitors in that show by the Qinghai provincial government.
"The May 17, dedicated and specified for Pakistan Theme Day in Qinghai Show, will provide us an opportunity of building our soft image and positive picture through our cultural show, artistic displays, portraying our variety of innovative products and people to people meetings."
Cooki, who is also representative of CCPIT in Pakistan, said that with a view to commemorate Pakistan Theme Day in its true spirit the provincial government of Qinghai has allocated 360 Square Meters of complimentary space for Pakistani exhibitors to display their products. He said Punjab Governor and Chief Minister have been invited as the guests of honour on that day.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had already announced to send a cultural troupe to that exhibitions and to provide his full support to the exhibitors to promote export of Pakistani Halal food products especially from Punjab. The Governor Punjab had also consented to attend the said exhibition.
PCMEA chairman said this is an excellent opportunity for Pakistan to enter the massive food market available in China, adding Pakistan has a very important status in livestock sector at international level and precious foreign exchange can be earned by developing dairy and meat sectors.
Highlighting this auspicious occasion, he said it is great opportunity for Pakistani participants to take advantage of this event by getting maximum share of Chinese markets to expand the trade volume with China. He appreciated the Qinghai government to help him arrange this beautiful national pavilion with all facilities to promote Pakistan's exports.
