Punjab Minister for Food and Price Control Committee Chairman Bilal Yaseen has said that the government was pursuing a comprehensive policy for keeping the prices of daily use items at reasonable level under which the district administration has been directed to take action against profiteers. He was talking to journalists during his visit to Itwar Bazaar of Kot Abdul Malik, Dehli Gate, Shalimar and Tajpura.
The provincial minister said due to governmental steps, essential items are available in Sahulat and Itwar Bazaars in abundance at fixed prices. He said an artificial shortage of potatoes has been created and the district administration has been directed to take immediate action against hoarders and shopkeepers creating artificial shortage.
