Tusdec's NIDA organises study visit of solar tube wells

National Institute of Design and Analysis (Nida) Peshawar, a subsidiary of Technology Up-gradation and Skill Development Company (Tusdec) organised a study visit of solar tube wells being installed in Khyber Agency for the students of solar panel installation training programme.
The purpose of the visit was to provide hands-on expertise on solar technology so that the students can get an insight on solar panel installation and operations, said a Tusdec spokesman here on Wednesday. Solar Panel Installation training programme was structured for an EU funded project and the programme was designed to imbibe theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for technically adept manpower catalysing the proliferation of solar technology in the industry.
A pool of 25 students visited the project sites at Khyber Agency where the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is engaged in installing solar tube wells for providing clean drinking water to the local communities. These solar tube wells are equipped with AUTO Sun Tracking and Static PV-panels, an opportunity for the students to grasp the pragmatic approach of working with modern equipment to foster the solar power industry. The trainees were briefed about the technical specifications and operational procedures of the solar panel installation by the team of experts.
