Sindh observes partial strike on JSMM's call

A partial strike was observed on Wednesday in parts of interior Sindh on the call of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM) in protest against the Pakistan Protection Bill (PPB). Petrol pumps remained closed in Nawabshah, shutter down strike was observed in Ghotki, while life remained paralysed in several districts and towns of Sindh including Golarchi in Badin, Matli, Tando Bago and Talhar. Traffic remained thin on the roads.
The cities where the strike was observed included Hyderabad, Naushehroferoze, Nawabshah, Daulatpur, Qazi Ahmed, Sakrand, Kandhkot, Guddu, Dadu, Johi, Meharr, Khairpur Nathanshah, Sukkur, Ghotki, Larkana and other parts of the province. Complete shutter down strike was also observed in Dadu, Khairpur, Tando Mohammad Khan, Mehar and traffic remained thin in protest against the Pakistan Protection Bill and Bashir Qureshi's brother Maqsood Qureshi's brutal murder. It may be recalled that at least 24 low intensity blasts hit different cities of Sindh on Tuesday as JSMM announced a strike for Wednesday against Protection of Pakistan Ordinance and killing of nationalist leader Maqsood Qureshi.
