The students of University of Peshawar selected for summer crash course on cyber culture which is to be held at Erfurt University Germany this year. Around five students have been short-listed after a thorough selection process and under an agreement signed two and a half years ago by UoP and the Chair of Muslim Culture of the Erfurt University Germany.
The students along with focal persons of the agreements, Husnain Bokhari of University of Erfurt and Dr Abdul Rauf of the Department of Political Science UoP met with Vice Chancellor UoP Professor Dr Muhammad Rasul Jan for a visit before proceeding for the programme.
University of Peshawar is one of the three varsities of the country whom students are selected every year for various advance short courses pertaining to the demands of the globalised world, said Husnain Bokhari on the occasion. He added that up till now 50 students of different departments have visited Erfurt University under the agreement.
Dr Rauf informed in exchange students of Erfurt University visit University of Peshawar every year for short courses and last year a special training on internet politics was conducted for twelve students. The Vice Chancellor commended the efforts of Professor Dr Jamal Malik, Head of Department at the Chair of Muslim Culture at Erfurt University Germany for materialising the agreements and renewing it every year. He added that the exposure of varsity students to an internationally renowned University like Erfurt would enable them to learn new trends in the field of higher education as per demands of the job market.
He hoped that the collaboration of the Universities would be of great help for students of both the countries. It merits a mention that the five students selected for the crash course includes Asma Javed, Neelam Kasir, Sehresh Khan, Raza Ali and Shaukat Ali.
