Met Department forecasts mainly dry weather

The Meteorological Department has forecast mainly dry weather in most parts of the country and temperatures are likely to be slightly above normal in the most agricultural plains of Punjab and Sindh provinces with dust raising winds in the lower half of the country.
Agriculture experts say that since the wheat crop is growing at flowering / milk/ maturity stages in most of the agriculture plains of the country, dry and hot weather is necessary for the full maturity and harvesting of the Rabi crops including wheat, canola, oil seeds, grams, vegetables, fodder etc. According to daily weather report of Meteorological Department the day temperature in the plains of Punjab and Sindh rose above 33 degree Celsius on Wednesday. The highest maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Lasbella and Chorr 39C and Shaheed Benazirabad and Badin 38C.
The maximum temperatures recorded in the other cities were Islamabad 28C, Lahore 31C, Karachi 36C, Peshawar 29C, Quetta 22C, Skardu 18C, Murree 17C, Muzaffarabad 28C, Gilgit 19C, Faisalabad 30C, Multan 33C, Hyderabad 37C. The rainfall recorded during the last hours was Bunji 02 mm, Astore 01 and traces in Dir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
