An upward trend was witnessed on the wholesale grain market on Saturday in process of modest trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Masoor Canada low type was higher by Rs 200 to Rs 8200 and the best variety was up by Rs 400 to Rs 8500, Masoor Canada gained Rs 100 to Rs 9300-9500, Urad Burma rose by Rs 125 to Rs 8500 as consumer demand increase ahead of Ramazan, dealers said.
Only one change was seen on the rice sector, where Irri-6 Sindh low type inched up by Rs 5 to Rs 3325 and the good variety was higher by Rs 25 to Rs 3425, they said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh new low type picked up by Rs 50 to Rs 1550, best quality was up by Rs 20 to Rs 1650, they said. No change was seen on the grams side, they said.
