15 Apr, 2014

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf provincial legislators threaten to besiege building of WAPDA house in Peshawar, dismantling of main power transmission line, supplying electricity to Punjab, if the Federal Government would implement the decision regarding closure of power supply from 11 feeders in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The announcement was made by PTI MPAs from PK-6 Fazal Elahi and Mehmood Jan from PK-7, while speaking at a news conference at Peshawar Press Club on Monday.
Mehmood Jan said the Minister of State for Water and Power, Abid Sher Ali, had given warning to suspend power supply to 11 feeders in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, due to non-recovery of dues, in which he said three feeders were included from his constituency. He, however, warned if the power supply was shut down from three feeders of his constituency, and not installing electricity meter, so the move would be strongly resisted, by besieging the building of WAPDA house in Peshawar.
