Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister approves 150 new vacancies to raise RRF: passing out parade ceremony held

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Parvez Khattak on Tuesday approved 150 new vacancies for raising a Rapid Response Force (RRF) to combat militancy having professional capabilities compatible with Special Service Group (SSG) and American Marines.
Appreciating the bravery of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, he said despite lacking anti-terrorism training they never retreated and guaranteed the protection of life and properties of the people at the cost of their own lives. He was addressing the passing out parade ceremony of the completion of SSG Commando Course for 572 police jawans under the auspices of Azad Kashmir Regiment at Mancer Army Camp, Attock. Inspector General of Police (IGP), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nasir Khan Durrani and officers of Azad Kashmir Regiment also addressed the ceremony and highlighted different aspects of the training.
The police commandos exhibited different expertise of their training, which was highly appreciated. The chief minister expressed regret that in past like other organisations important agency like police was also made victim of corruption. However, the present government given first priority to Department of Police and from a crowd it was turned into an organised force.
The chief minister said the basic targets of their government are: cleansing police of corruption, bringing change in their behaviour to make it real public servant, up-gradation of its professional capabilities and abolition of political interference to provide opportunity to work in an independent environment on the basis of merit. The chief minister expressed happiness that with the passage of every day the police of the province is becoming more organised and effective force and besides the restoration of the trust of the people it has also emerged as a role model for the whole country.
He said the KP police achieved a unique honour of getting SSG Commandos training and now besides protecting the citizens and prevention of crimes it is also becoming capable for combating terrorism. Similarly, he said besides investigation and intelligence system the training institutes of police are also being made effective.
