SAP asked to provide high quality seeds

Punjab Minister for Food Bilal Yaseen has asked the Seed Association of Pakistan (SAP) to provide high quality seeds for the next wheat crop. He said this while talking to a delegation of the SAP which called on him at his office on Tuesday. The delegation was led by the Secretary General Tahir Majeed (Retd), senior members Syed Hassan Raza and Chaudhry Bilal Ahmad.
The minister assured that the government would remove all the hurdles to get best wheat crop. However, he said besides government co-operation it is also the duty of the seed association to work with full devotion and responsibility for producing high quality seed.
Yaseen also asked the association to submit names of those who would buy wheat in the coming wheat procurement season to use it for production of wheat seed so as they should not face any sort of hurdle in wheat procurement. He also urged them to use the procured wheat only for production of seed. The SAP delegation said that they have full trust in assurance given by the Punjab government for extending co-operation to seed industry in procurement of wheat.
