Under-privileged residents: K-Electric launches low-cost meters scheme

17 Apr, 2014

In a press statement, K-Electric has announced that the company successfully launched its low-cost meter scheme on easy instalments for the under-privileged society of Syed Village who were till now using illegal hook connections. KE, who has aggressively been trying to curb losses and theft in the city, united with the residents of Syed Village, who willingly facilitated the KE team in installing such low-cost meters in their area.
These low-cost meters were provided to the residents of Bilawal Jokhio Goth on easy instalments. The site was infested with illegal connections or 'Kundas' and therefore was a high-loss area through which K-Electric was suffering losses of millions. K-Electric appreciates and lauded the efforts of the residents of Syed Village who worked tirelessly and willingly to get these illegal connections replaced by new low-cost meters after agreeing to pay the cost of such meters as well.-PR
