Kareena Kapoor Khan, the leading lady of female lead movie ‘Veere Di Wedding’, recently gave a rather confused stance on feminism and the twitter users are not happy about it.
Bebo and the other leading ladies of the movie, including Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Swarna Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania, recently showed up all glammed up at the music launch of their film.
While speaking to the media, Kareena was asked about her idea of feminism, to which she promptly responded, “I believe in equality. I wouldn’t say I am a feminist, I would say I am a woman and above all, I am a human being. I am also as proud to be known as Saif Ali Khan’s wife as I am to be Kareena Kapoor. So that is just the way I am,” IAN quoted the star.
Believing that feminism is actually all about equality, Kareena’s comments made little sense to many. However, the actress was not spared one bit by the social media users, as feminists came after her with full force on Twitter.
It's 2018 and we have a Kareena Kapoor say, 'I believe in equality of genders, but I am not a feminist'. How long before women in positions of influence educate themselves? Is that really too much to ask!

Reporter to Kareena Kapoor when asked about her idea of feminism and if she is one-
Kareena: Well, I believe in equality. I won’t say I’m a feminist. I’d say that I’m a woman. And above all, I’m a human being.
Me: Achcha, aisa kya? Humko toh pata hi nahin tha!— Rithika (@AARquixotic) May 23, 2018
"I believe in equality but I'm not a feminist" says Kareena Kapoor. The number of errors in this one sentence is mindblowing. I'm gonna go nap
