ISLAMABAD: Senator Khushbakht Shujaat on Thursday elected as Chairperson Senate Standing Committee on Postal Services.

The meeting of the Standing Committee was held here at Parliament House to elect its chairperson as contemplated by Rule 184(1) of the Rules of Procedure and conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012.

Rule 175 (1) of the said Rules requires that the chairman of each Committee shall be elected by the committee from amongst its members.

Chairperson of the committee expressed her resolve to work for the betterment of postal sector in the country.

The members of the committee congratulated the newly elected chairperson of the committee on the occasion.

Khushbakht Shujaat thanked members of the committee for their support.
