The Lahore High Court here on Thursday extended to June 05 a stay against proceedings before an Election Tribunal on an appeal of Chairman PTI Imran Khan seeking recounting in NA-122, Lahore as counsel of Imran Khan sought time to submit his reply. Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq had approached the high court against the tribunal's proceedings.
Earlier, counsel of Imran submitted a reply in the court with a request to withdraw the stay order. He argued that the proceedings before the Election Tribunal were lawful. Counsel of Speaker Barrister Asjad Saeed pointed out many technical flaws in the reply of PTI Chief. He said that an affidavit submitted by Khan was attested by fake oath commissioner. Even case number mentioned in the reply was not correct. He said and added that these mistakes showed non seriousness of the PTI Chief towards court's proceedings.
