At least five persons including a woman were killed in different incidents of violence, here on Friday. According to police and rescue sources, Tahira wife of Zahir Khan was stabbed to death by her father Faizullah after a quarrel at his house in Baldia, in the jurisdictions of Ittehad Town police station. SHO Shehzad said that the accused managed to flee form the scene after killing his daughter, and injuring his wife, Zobida, in early hours of Friday.
The body and injured were moved to Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment. They are from Afghanistan and were living in Ittehad Town. The deceased was leaving with her parents as her husband, Zahir Khan, is in Afghanistan. Munna Bangali, 25, and Shahzaib, 24, were shot and killed by unknown armed men in Nayaabad area of Lyair in the jurisdictions of Baghdadi police station. Police said the incident took place in the early hours of Friday.
The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities. The deceased were associated with a Lyari gangsters group. Police suspected that they might have been killed by rival party. Musafir Khan, 35, son of Mehrab Khan, was gunned down by unknown persons near Honda Atlas Company in Shershah. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Another man was gunned down by unknown assailant in Toori Bux Colony in Orangi Town. The identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.
Davood son of Asad Khan was shot and injured by an unidentified man near Malook hotel in Sohrab Goth. He was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment. In the same way, one, Muhammad Danish son of Ishfaq Ahmad, was injured by an unidentified gunman near Power House, North Karachi. The injured was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
