Prices moved both ways on the wholesale grain market on Monday in process of modest trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Guwar Sindh and Punjab were down by Rs 100 to Rs 5400 and Rs 5600, other commodity items were unchanged during the trading, they added.
On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh managed to gain Rs 50 to Rs 3600 and Rs 3700, other types fluctuated but ended at the week-end levels, they said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh new low type was up by Rs 50 to Rs 1850 and fine variety was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 1850 due to strong demand amid short supply, rapeseeds cake low type did not move any side at Rs 1425 while the best quality posted fresh gain Rs 20 to Rs 1450, they said. Rates were inert on the grams sector, they said.
