A contempt of court petition filed in Lahore High Court has urged the court to take action against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his wife Kalsoom Nawaz, son Hussain Nawaz, PML-Q Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Humayon Akhtar Khan for refusing to receive court notices in a case questioning their alleged foreign assets.
The petitioner, Barrister Javed Iqbal Jafree contended that politicians had committed contempt of court by not receiving summons. He said the act of the respondents was amounted to creating hurdles in dispensation of justice. He sought proceedings against the respondents under contempt of court law.
