The Election Tribunal in Multan has accepted Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) General Secretary Jehangir Tareen's request for thumb print verification of the votes cast in the NA-154 constituency during the general elections 2013, Election Tribunal official said on Wednesday.
Siddique Khan Baloch had outvoted Tareen in NA-154 Lodhran during the elections. The ET stated that the case will be sent to National Database Registration Authority (Nadra). The ET further said that all the material related to the elections including the tribunal boxes will be sent to Nadra in the next three days. After which proper investigation into the alleged rigging will begin and a report will be submitted to the ET within ten days. Former Law minister Abdul Hafeez Pirzada on the behalf of PTI Secretary General Jehangir Khan Tareen has submitted before the court for verification of thumb impression of voters of four constituencies as the PTI had been demanding for the process in four constituencies since the general election 2013 were held.
