Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) arrested a couple allegedly involved in extortion cases in the city, here on Friday. According to CPLC sources, the accused were arrested during a joint raid conducted by CPLC central Zone and SIU team in Orangabad in remits of Nazimabad police station. The raid was carried out after receiving complaint of Muhammad Ahmad Ghori, who had been threatened by the couple demanding extortion.
The accused, Mansoor Ali, during the investigation confessed of being involved in different extortion cases in the area. He revealed that he and his wife used to take extortion from people through sending threatening letters containing bullets.
