Quality education: 'Necessary facilities & funds to be provided to institutions'

State Minister for Education, Training and Standard in Higher Education, Interior and Narcotics Control Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman has said that Government will never step back in providing all necessary educational facilities and funds that are necessary for institutions to develop them for quality education. He was speaking to teachers during his visit to Centre of Excellence in Arts and Design Jamshoro.
State Minister was accompanied by Professor Dr M Raza Bhatti, member HRD, HEC, Islamabad, Darshan Munshi (MNA), Professor Dr Ghous Bux Khaskheli, acting Vice Chancellor of Mehran University Jamshoro, Dr Bhai Khan Shar, Director CEAD, Engr Ghulam Sarwar Kandhar, PVC MUET Khairpur Campus and others.
While talking to faculty members, Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman said that federally administrated institutions are given a huge importance all over the world and that's why THE government is trying its best to strengthening the quality education so different technical programs have been launched to educate youth.
He said that arts students should be in interaction with local people as they may get more knowledge about different handicrafts and their production.
The State Minister said a 5 years educational policy should be planned in the institutions as students may be aware of knowing their full study tenure. Earlier, Dr Bhai Khan Shar, the director of CEAD said in his briefing that our students have shown extra ordinary performance not only in Pakistan but all over the world and claimed distinctions.
He said that different short courses are running in the CEAD in collaboration with the government where the dream of development programs is coming true in shape of well trained youth. Dr Shar further said that despite of showing extra ordinary performance CEAD is getting very less funding from the government as compared to its contemporary institutions, where as we have will our students are zealous,
So the government should take steps to strengthen our hands as we may be able to prepare more creative minds. In the end, Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman visited the arts gallery decorated with handicrafts, paintings, designing, textile products, and ceramics by students and he appreciated their efforts as well as skills.
