Former PMDC registrar: IHC reserves judgement

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday reserved its judgment on pre-arrest bail of former registrar Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (OMDC) Dr Ahmad Nadeem Akbar who was allegedly involved in registration of fake doctors.
A single-member bench of Justice Noor-ul-Haq N Qureshi resumed the hearing of case regarding registration of fake doctors with PMDC.
During the course of proceedings, Justice Noor-ul-Haq N. Qureshi expressed annoyance over the alleged act of tempering with PMDC's official record and said the court would tolerate no such act.
The court was informed that around 70 cases of registration of fake doctors with PMDC have been unearthed so far.
The court directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) its inquiry officer before the bench by all means. Meanwhile, Sheikh Zafar and Rizwan Aslam, the representatives of the FIA, appeared before the bench.
The court reprimanded them for repeatedly changing inquiry officers during the course of investigations.
