The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in different raids recovered 1010kgs charas, 5 kgs heroin and 1.7kg amphetamine. ANF arrested eight persons and seized two vehicles. An ANF spokesman said on Tuesday that ANF Lahore seized a Honda Airwave Car No UU-106-ICT near Doctors Hospital, Canal Road, Lahore and recovered 3 kgs heroin from the car. Two accused namely Sadaqat Khan S/o Misri Khan R/o Peshawar and Qamar Mehmood S/o Tariq Mehmood R/o Lahore were arrested on the spot.
ANF Lahore seized a parcel from DHL Gulberg Office, Lahore and recovered 50 gms heroin tactfully concealed in paper hand bag. The parcel was intended for Australia. According to details, ANF Karachi intercepted a truck Nissan No C-2570-Swat at Jacobabad Road, Shikarpur and recovered 945 kgs Charas from secret cavities of the truck. Two accused namely Muhammad Azam S/o Abdul Manan Kakar and Jan Muhammad S/o Muhammad Saleem both R/o Quetta were arrested on the spot.
ANF Karachi arrested an accused Yousaf Shah S/o Arif Shah R/o Quetta during a raid near Taj CNG Pump, Jacobabad Road, Shikarpur and recovered 64 kgs Charas from his possession. ANF Peshawar Airport team intercepted Aziz Ur Rehman s/o Muhammad Rashid R/o Swat at Peshawar Airport and recovered 1kg amphetamine concealed in his trolley bag. He was to travel to Bahrain by Flight No GF-785.
ANF Peshawar Airport Team arrested a Pakistani National Liaqat Ali S/o Mashooq Ali R/o Khushab at Peshawar Airport and recovered 2kg heroin and 700-gms amphetamine concealed in his suitcase. He was to travel to Damam by Flight No QR-609. ANF Rawalpindi arrested Mujahid S/o Khyal Muhammad R/o Haripur (Afghan Refugee) at GT Road, Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza Attock and recovered 1kg Charas from his possession. Cases have been registered at ANF Police Stations and further investigation is under way, the spokesman added.
