Mohamed Salah steps up recovery from shoulder injury as he reveals 'good feelings' for World Cup after resistance workout.

Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah, who was on verge of missing out the World Cup, somehow will be able to make it to Russia as the striker has stepped up for recovery of shoulder injury.

The showpiece tournament commences in Russia in 11 days and Salah has worked tirelessly to regain his fitness after a fine season with Liverpool. And having said after the 0-0 draw with Colombia on Friday that he remained 'optimistic', boss Hector Cuper will be delighted to see Salah close to fitness.

Having taken a break in New York last week, Salah posted on Twitter a photo of him completing a resistance workout with the focus on his right shoulder.

The positive news will relieve Cuper after he was left frustrated at the lack of firepower in his side in Salah's absence.

The Egyptian footballer was forced off after 30 minutes in the Champions League final against Real Madrid after a controversial collision with Sergio Ramos. Both players locked arms and Salah landed heavily on his right shoulder, which led to him spraining the muscle, rather than dislocating it.

Nonetheless, as he left the field in Kiev in tears, there were genuine concerns that he would play no part for the national team in Russia.
