LHC suspends license of advocate

A full bench of the Lahore High Court here on Monday suspended the license to practice of Pervaiz I Mir advocate and referred the matter to Pakistan Bar Council for further necessary action under the law. The contempt proceedings are, however, dropped as Pervaiz I Mir tendered unconditional and unqualified apology.
Mrs Justice Ayesha A Malik issued a contempt of court notice to Pervaiz I Mir. She was hearing a petition of Muhammad Arif occupying a government residence Wahdat Colony, and was served vacation notices by the Special Judicial Magistrate, Punjab Civil Secretariat Lahore, time and again. Pervaiz I Mir had requested for suspension of the impugned notices and maintaining the status quo. During the course of hearing the advocate misbehaved and used contemptuous language.
