Declaration of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as calamity-hit province demanded: ANP submits resolution in PA

Parliamentary leader of ANP in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Sardar Hussain Babak has submitted a resolution with Assembly Secretariat for the declaration of KP as calamity-hit province, exemption from all taxes, announcement of special package by federal government and maximum share from foreign assistance should also be granted to the province.
ANP leader in his resolution has said that KP is the victim of terrorism for last several years, which beside routine life had also badly affected every sector of life. The economy of the province had badly damaged. It further said that unemployment rate in the province has increased manifold and its people living life under the poverty line. Therefore, taking into consideration the prevailing situation the province should be declared calamity-hit and for bringing improvement in the economy of the province and raising standard, a special incentive package for the province should be announced. Rather maximum share from foreign assistance should also be granted to the province, it added.
