US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson has said that the United States is ready to help Pakistan in meeting the humanitarian needs in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas. In a statement issued here, he announced an additional 9.3 million dollars to help meet the needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs). The fund will be provided through the USAID.
United States will provide seven million dollars to UNICEF Pakistan to improve health, hygiene, water, and sanitation services for IDPs while the remaining amount will be used to ensure health of livestock.
