A ceremony was held under the chair of Sindh University (SU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Abida Taherani on Tuesday wherein the promotion orders of grade-22 were distributed among the eight Professors of grade-21 following the approval accorded by the varsity Syndicate. According to details, Vice-Chancellor Dr Abida Taherani distributed the promotion orders of grade-22 among eight Professors of the University who were working in grade-21 as Professor previously.
Those who got promotion orders after the approval given by Syndicate on July 19, 2014, include Professor Dr Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro Pro-Vice Chancellor SU Laar campus Badin, Professor Dr Sarfraz Hussain Solangi Pro-Vice Chancellor Thatta campus, Professor Dr Imdad Ali Ismaili Pro-Vice Chancellor Mirpurkhas campus, Professor Dr Abdullah Dayo Dean Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Dr Parvaiz Pathan Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Professor Dr Nasreen Memon Chairperson Department of Zoology and Professor Dr Ghulam Sarwar Gachal Department of Zoology University of Sindh Jamshoro.
On the occasion, all the seven Professors jointly handed over the promotion order to Vice-Chancellor also whose name was also sanctioned by the Syndicate for the promotion as meritorious Professor in BPS-22. Registrar Ghulam Muhammad Bhutto was also present. It may be noted that the selection board recommended the names of 8 Professors after its meeting which held almost six months ago and the Syndicate in its meeting approved the recommendations of selection board and later the orders were distributed. Before it, the meeting of selection board had taken place for awarding grade-22 to the Professors working in grade-21 in 2004.-EOM
