BISE Lahore announces SSC results

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has announced the result of Secondary School Certificate (matriculation) Annual Examinations 2014 at a ceremony held at Alhamra Hall. Provincial Law and Education Minister Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan was the chief guest on the occasion, while Secretary Higher Education Abdullah Sumbal, BISE Lahore Chairman Nasarullah Virk, Controller Examinations Anwer Farooq and other senior officials of the board and education department were also present.
Overall, 187335 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 124343 passed the examination. Rana Mashood distributed medals among all position holders, whereas cash prize of Rs 20,000, Rs 15000 and Rs 10,000 each were distributed among students who stood first, second and third. They were also awarded gold, silver and bronze medal while over all position holder Usama Qamar was also awarded laptop. Speaking on the occasion Rana Mashood said that government of Punjab has played an important role in eradication Booti mafia from the province. He also said that government has started a tradition of sending top position holders to UK, Germany and Sweden. Mashood said that the Punjab government has taken practical steps for the eradication of load-shedding in the province.
Speaking on this occasion chairman BISE Lahore Nasrulah Virk said that not a single result was declared later on in the past 11 examinations conducted by the Lahore board adding that this year also board presented a result later on free result. He also said that they had eradicated booti mafia from Lahore board with the support of Punjab government.
While according to the spokesperson of the Lahore Board supplementary examination 2014 will start from September 9, 2014. He said that admission fees without late fees will be deposited till August 8, admission fees with double fees will be deposited till August 15 and admission fees with triple fees will be deposited till August 20 through on line. He also said that for the first time candidates can apply for rechecking through on line within 15 days after the announcement of the result.
