At least ten people were killed including brother of former KP Minister and six injured in two different incidents of gruesome attacks in Chakdara tehsil of Lower Dir and Karak districts, police said. At least six people including Ishaq Khan brother of former minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and sitting MPA Bakht Baidar and police personnel were killed and three others were injured in an gunfire assault at MPA Bakht Bedar's residence in Dir Lower District.
Former interior minister and Chairman Qaumi Watan Party Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao and others attended the Namaz e Janaza of Ishaq Khan in Chakdara. According to police, two cops were also among the dead. The police said that the bodies were moved to Tehsil Hospital Chakdara. Incidentally Bakht Bedar Khan of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) was not present in his residence in Chakdara at the time of terrorist attack.
Bodies and the injured have been shifted to a hospital in Batkhela, Malakand district. It should be mentioned here that Bedar Khan's brother, who was former tehsil nazim is among the deceased. Separately four people were killed and three others injured in exchange of firing over old enmity in Torr March of Karak district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday. According to details, two rival groups clashed over an old enmity and resorted to firing resultantly, four people lost their lives. The injured were rushed to the nearby hospital in precarious condition for treatment. The police have registered the case against the known accused and started search operation for the arrest of the killers.
